Dennis Shreefer Hijacks Democratic Candidate’s Campaign
August 19, 2008 | Leave a Comment
Dennis Shreefer, the former radio personality in Lima, is asserting his personality to the forefront of the local politics once again. After a failed attempt to oust the Republican seat in the Ohio House from Matt Huffman he has no made a bid to win another campaign by proxy.
If I was Keith Faber’s opponent I would be doing everything I could to keep my campaign from being overshadowed by Dennis. Alas it is too late. Shreefer politics would take center stage as Faber’s opponent would owe much to Dennis should he win. What does that mean to us… As stated in a previous article… Shreefer favors more regulation, less free market and higher taxes. While he complains to the people in a populist voice his politics are in short liberal Democrat’s tax an spend policy. Obviously these are what Faber’s Opponent must believe to have Shreefer leading the way. Just what the area does not need.
Some may not remember this but Shreefer owes much to State Rep Matt Huffman for returning checks that Shreefer had lost near the Lima Post Office in his bid to beat State Rep. Matt Huffman. It’s that local integrity of the local Republican candidates that shine in the area.
LIMA - [Faber's opponent] is no stranger to political campaigns. The Wapakoneta resident has twice run for public office and twice come up short. On Wednesday, he took aim at his incumbent opponent in his latest bid for office.

Super Delegate To Support Obama - Bill Gwatney Shot Dead
August 14, 2008 | 1 Comment
The missing information we all wondered about. Now its out. Sounds like fodder for all those who have wondered about the Clintons… suspicious death(s) and missing files. So here is another mystery from their legacy. A delegate for Hillary announces he will vote for Obama. A non-descript white male walks by the secretary and others in the room. Fires a shot sending everyone fleeing and no one checks on the chairman. Four hours he is dead. The suspect is chased and shot down in another town leaving all questions as to motive unknown. Someone might be watching for those odd bank transfers for the family of this man. No accusations… just thinking what everyone else is wondering.
Democratic chairman Bill Gwatney was attacked by a man who insisted on speaking with him before firing three shots and fleeing, according to local media reports. Gwatney was taken to the hospital after his secretary made an emergency call from a nearby flower shop, but he later died of his wounds.
Police chased the assailant, reported to be a white male in his 40s, 25 miles into a neighbouring town before shooting him and arresting him. The suspect later died of gunshot wounds. The motive for the shooting is so far unknown.
“His leadership and commitment to Arkansas and this country have always inspired us and those who had the opportunity to know him,” Bill and Hillary Clinton, who knew Gwatney from their years as Arkansas governor and first lady, said in a statement. “Our prayers are with his family during this time.”
The Arkansas Times newspaper reported that police may have tracked the attacker based on a tipoff from the state Baptist organisation. A manager there reported being confronted earlier today by an armed man who complained of losing his job before fleeing the building.
Gwatney, who owns an auto dealership in the state, was set to attend the Democratic presidential convention later this month and cast his delegate vote for Barack Obama, who released a statement saying he was “shocked and saddened to hear about the tragedy”.

Reactions to Arkansas Democratic Party Shooting
August 13, 2008 | 1 Comment
There are big holes in the story. The lack of information only leads to more questions. Like who is Bill Gwatney? His ties to the Clintons? What motive might the man have had… motive… affair? politics? money? scandal? There may be nothing but this type of event rarely happens for no apparent reason. Especially when it comes to Democratic politics in Arkansas.
The Associated Press reports “A man barged into the Arkansas Democratic headquarters and opened fire Wednesday, fatally shooting the state party chairman before speeding off in his pickup. Police later shot and killed the suspect after a 30-mile chase.”
Sen. Hillary and former president Bill Clinton quickly issued a joint statement on the shooting in their former home state, initially sending their prayers for critically injured Democratic chair Bill Gwatney’s recovery.
It was a statement they had to update later in the afternoon.
“We are deeply saddened by the news that Bill Gwatney has passed away,” they said. “His leadership and commitment to Arkansas and this country have always inspired us and those who had the opportunity to know him. Our prayers are with his family during this time.”

Former Radio Voice Promotes Bigger Goverment
August 13, 2008 | 2 Comments
Dennis Shreefer a former voice blasting Republicans lost his job and is now back in the area after not succeeding on radio elsewhere. His agenda is simple. Make charges that are not true and promote his liberal agenda. The call is for more restrictions on the free market and blames it on the Ohio Legislature (namely State Sen. Faber) for failing to enact more regulation. Welcome to Sen. Faber’s revial and a dream by a hopeful of something that sounds like Central Control of the Communist Regime. Wow. Where does the Democratic party get these guys?
Everywhere you go you get double-digit increases because of Keith Faber’s refusal to regulate anything.”
Shreefer and Matthew said the “hidden tax,” the increase in prices, is because of various deregulation policies and an unrestrained free-market policy.

The Real War For Oil: Communist State Invades

Blame the US. Call it evil and say all their aggression is because they want oil. Probably should have been since Carter practically gave the jihad terrorist all the oil funding they need for the rest of the history of the world. I have no problem with a John Wayne approach to stop the fence from being built around the world’s watering hole.
RUSSIA INVADES GEORGIA: WHERE’S NATO? WHERE’S THE US?

** UPDATE ** URGENT: Russian Ground Forces Invade Georgia, Georgian Army Retreats to Defend Capital; Government Appeals for Urgent International Intervention
At this hour, the invading army of the Russian Federation has entered Georgian territory outside the conflict zones of Abkhazia and South Ossetia. The Georgian army is retreating to defend the capital. The Government is urgently seeking international intervention to prevent the fall of Georgia and the further loss of life.
“We no longer know the limits of the invading Russian army—Russia seems intent on overthrowing the democratically elected government of Georgia and occupying the country,” said Alexander Lomaia, the Secretary of the National Security Council. “As a consequence, the National Security Council has just decided to bring the Georgian army to Tbilisi in order to defend the capital and prevent the fall of Georgia.”

Kewpee Burgers Gets Campaign Boost
August 11, 2008 | 1 Comment
Where do candidates eat in Lima when on the campaign trail? It appears that the Republican Presidential Election Team likes the local Kewpee’s. I am sure the owner is very pleased to have such news bring to their business some free advertising in the Lima News.
Now, to the important things when it comes to rehashing John McCain’s visit to Lima last week.
Like, how long did McCain talk? Was anyone turned away? Why did they pick the Civic Center to host the event? And, most of all, where did McCain have lunch?
That last question is actually a no-brainer, given this is Lima, Ohio. McCain may call himself a “maverick” politician who will go against the grain, but he’s not stupid. When he left Thursday’s town hall meeting at the Civic Center, he boarded a bus filled with Kewpee hamburgers and feasted on a burger, a malt and an apple pie (he went back and forth between apple and cherry, I’m told).
Who could blame the man for being hungry?

Drug Smuggler Gets Less Prison Time Than Border Agents
August 9, 2008 | Leave a Comment
This is… well…. asinine. There is something wrong when the criminals get less time after you prosecute the law enforcement agents to the full extent of the law. You only embolded the creeps in our society. I suppose the agents would have been better off if they had killed the drug transporter.
CNSNews.com) – The Mexican drug smuggler who testified against the two Border Patrol agents who shot him near the Mexican border was sentenced Wednesday to nine and a half years in federal prison. That’s a shorter sentence than either of the agents received.
Osvaldo Aldrete-Davila received two consecutive 57-month sentences for smuggling almost 800 pounds of marijuana into the U.S. in September and October of 2005. During that time, he had immunity from prosecution for an earlier smuggling episode — the one where he was shot by Border Patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean.
In February 2005, Compean shot 14 times at the fleeing illegal alien drug smuggler, but he missed. Ramos shot once and hit Aldrete-Davila in the buttocks before the wounded smuggler made it back across the Mexican border.

Border agents cleared of charges in shooting
August 9, 2008 | Leave a Comment
This is a better deal than Ramos and Compean got. Sure, one might say they are different. I would argue that they are the same. Ramos and Compean were in a night time situation. The intent and actions of the criminal were unknown and therefore a very real risk. Thankfully the jury didn’t go the other way. I could see someone say… “Why didn’t they just get out of the way? Should we be firing on everyone coming toward you?” I say stand your ground and if threatened then fire away. Law enforcement should not have to retreat. Enough said.
MALONE, N.Y. - Federal agents won’t face charges for shooting a suspected drug smuggler accused of trying to run them over with an all-terrain vehicle.
Prosecutors say Border Patrol Agents Dennis Rascoe and Daniel Taylor were chasing two ATVs on May 5 in Constable near the Canadian border. One vehicle was pulling a trailer loaded with duffel bags, and the officers suspected they contained drugs.
After a 20-mile chase, the agents approached Timothy Fleury’s ATV and he drove toward them. Rascoe and Taylor fired 12 shots, striking the 25-year-old Fleury once in the torso. He’s been treated and released.
A Franklin County grand jury cleared the agents of charges Thursday.

McCain’s Visit to Lima Affects Conservatives
August 9, 2008 | Leave a Comment
There were protesters but it only increased the fair type atmosphere which made the day even more enjoyable. The band was playing and over 1,000 people lined up to attend the event that was anticipated to be around 900. Everyone that came to get in got it! It received national media attention and was broadcast live it appears by CNN.The Town Hall style event was perfect for both McCain and the strong Republican county.
It’s been a long campaign. Almost 2 years including the very early primary races. Many Huckabee supporters were less than thrilled when Mike didn’t win the race. That may all change as Conservatives hear their candidate. While not the perfect Conservative candidate there certainly was much to enjoy about the McCain visit. The Town Hall setting was perfect for Conservative strong Allen County Ohio. He was questioned on appointment of judges and the pro-life issue and made many comments about energy.
As a Conservative there was no longer any doubt that complete support for McCain was due. There is simply too much at stake in regards to taxes, jobs, the oil and gas prices and the appointment of proper strict constructionist Judges in the very near future. There were the unexpected touching stories which are feature here from YouTube. One was a young girl that came from the area with her daughter. It appears the daughter is now a McCain supporter and her father is a strong Democrat. That should be interesting!
The following was when a Vietnam Vet came forward to talk to McCain.
For the social conservatives and the issue of life… these statements will be the most profound.

Pho’s Akron Pages: “Personally Glad Shooter is Still Alive”
August 2, 2008 | 4 Comments
Pho’s Akron makes the finding that Conservative Culture isn’t the brightest star in the sky. It seems to matter little to him that he is more concerned about “gun policy” than either justice or preserving the greatest amount life from the creeps roaming this earth looking to “do somebody in”. The Second Amendment is about self preservation and the protection of life. He argues that because we want to protect ourselves that we are responsible for increased deaths in America. What Pho fails to point out is that yes deaths would increase if more people carried guns (carry conceal). The question one needs to ask is “who would be a part of the death rates that would increase?”
The creeps and criminals looking to harm people would be dead. More criminals wouldn’t make it another 24 hours. Part of the reason Colorado Springs had so many (even though it had armed security) is that if more law abiding citizens carried the more likely it is that the shooter would have been put down sooner. In my book it is better to put the shooter down than to wait for any “armed security” to arrive. The hope that all assailants will have to reload after every three shots so you can tackle them is the most ludicrous and irrational hope.
While Pho is glad the shooter didn’t get his wish for death we can now all look forward to paying for this man’s meals, room, air conditioning and cable. There is no justice and this liberal mindset that all we need to do is disarm the citizens is astounding.
As for the glee. Whenever a person shots another in defense of themselves… there is no glee except that fact is that they know they are going home to their family that night. Yet just so this church going Pho understands… the Bible does make it clear on the topic.
Proverbs 11:10 TNIV When the righteous prosper, the city rejoices; when the wicked perish, there are shouts of joy.
What about that passage doesn’t Pho undestand?
Third (and less obvious) massacre prevention shouldn’t be our primary focus in gun policy. Massacres inflict a horrible psychic toll and make big splashy news, but they amount to less than a rounding error in the overall homicide rate. If we find that Policy Change X would prevent some massacres but increase the overall homicide/assault rate, then on balance X is not good policy…
In our church few if any people would say that the man shooting at them should be spared if someone has the shot. Where we differ is the level of glee. We would find the death of one more person a tragedy, if a necessary one that on balance saved lives. We wouldn’t be all “He’s dead — Yay!” Personally I’m glad he’s still alive, if for no other reason than his plan was to commit suicide by cop and it’s a Good Thing that any plans of this hateful bastard were thwarted.
Anyway, on to the gun issue. Experience with massacres shows that guns at the scene of a massacre may lower the death toll, but won’t prevent massacres. Massacre assailants have almost invariably intended to die in the assault, rendering deterence meaningless. They also start blasting before anyone knows what is happening, meaning that people will likely die before anyone can return fire. Looking at the Colorado Springs massacre (n=2), the assailant managed to kill two people despite the fact that the church had an armed security guard on duty.

Liberal’s New Poster Boy For Conservative Talk Shows
August 2, 2008 | 1 Comment

Church Shooter
He’s the perfect candidate for the new poster boy for the liberal campaign against Conservative Radio (Hate Speech in liberal lingo). He hates liberals and thinks they should all be killed. They will love it because he looks like an unstable crazed lunatic… which is how they see all conservatives especially the flagship speaker Rush Limbaugh.
Surely he won’t replace Rush in the number one spot but certainly will be added to the cast of supporting characters to make their case. Such as this Time Magazine cover and these words from one such liberal blogger.
Rush Limbaugh is a former criminal and a recovering drug addict. But that doesn’t stop him from labeling other people “shameless.”
According to Limbaugh, Michael J. Fox’s symptoms from Parkinson’s Disease are not real enough. On his radio show the other day, Rush said, “[Fox] is exaggerating the effects of the disease…He’s moving all around and shaking and it’s purely an act. . . . This is really shameless of Michael J. Fox. Either he didn’t take his medication or he’s acting.”
Hipcat Yo Boy: Call Me a Cynic, But Seriously, F*ck Rush Limbaugh.

Liberal's Face of Evil
Just another reason the Second Amendment was created and why every law abiding citizen should have a carry conceal permit. Any time someone goes off the deep end and starts shooting innocent people… they will be protected without waiting for the authorities to come after it’s all over.
KNOXVILLE, Tennessee CNN — A man accused of fatally shooting two adults and wounding seven others at a Knoxville church told police the church s liberal teachings PROMPTed him to attack, according to court papers.
Jim Adkisson said liberals should be killed because they re ruining the nation, according to an affidavit.
Jim Adkisson said liberals should be killed because they re ruining the nation, according to an affidavit.
Jim David Adkisson told investigators all liberals should be killed and admitted he shot people Sunday morning at Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church, according to a search warrant affidavit obtained by CNN affiliate WBIR.
Also, a four-page letter police found in Adkisson s vehicle indicated he was motivated by frustration over being unable to obtain a job, authorities said Monday.
Police said Adkisson, 58, of Powell, Tennessee, walked into the church s sanctuary during a children s musical performance and fired a shotgun before being overpowered by congregants and arrested. Adkisson — who police said wasn t a member of the church — has been charged with one count of first-degree murder.
According to the affidavit requesting to search Adkisson s home, the suspect told investigators liberals should be killed because they were ruining the country. Adkisson also blamed Democrats for the country s decline, according to the affidavit.

Sam Crish who is running for Allen County Sheriff walks with “Drugs Bring Death” and is working to bring the community together. Considering the number of shootings and the drug problem in Lima this is certainly a great show of support to those citizens trying to make a difference.

Jury seated in shooting trial
July 29, 2008 | Leave a Comment

The headlines today was the every vigilant and often misquoting newspaper read “All-white jury seated in cop’s shooting trial.” The paper is already setting the trial up as a racist attempt to free a cop who killed an innocent woman. No doubt the opposite result would have produced the image that the train arrived into town to put thei officer on death row. Few members of the black community would want to go home if they hadn’t dropped the hammer on the officer.
With gang and drug related shootings being frequent (including one fatality) one wonders what will happen if the trial doesn’t pan out the way some might want it. If he is found innoncent there are some who will be more than happy to cause uprisings and problems. If he is found guilty there are some who will feel emboldened knowing that if anyone fires on them it won’t go well for the officer who shoots them. Everyone knows this is going on but few are talking about it.
LIMA — The community and other watchful eyes from around the nation will learn today the circumstances that led to a police sergeant shooting and killing an unarmed biracial woman during a drug raid.
Opening statements in the trial of Lima Police Department Sgt. Joe Chavalia will begin at 9 a.m. with Special Prosecutor Jeffrey Strausbaugh laying out the facts he believes proves the officer is guilty of negligent homicide and negligent assault in the Jan. 4 shooting death of Tarika Wilson inside her home at 218 E. Third St.
The facts of the case have been tightly guarded by police, state investigators, the prosecution and all involved, which has fed a fire of racial tension that put Lima in the national spotlight with visits from prominent black leaders including the Rev. Jesse Jackson.
The Lima Police Department has been under a microscope since the 26-year-old Wilson was shot to death and her 1-year-old son, Sincere, who was in Wilson’s arms, was wounded during the drug raid. The black community has been highly critical of police for the raid and the actions of many officers. Much of the criticism has accused officers in the almost all-white department of treating blacks poorly and showing little or no respect.

Church Slaying Sparks Search For Answers - Miss Obvious
July 28, 2008 | 6 Comments
Ohio’s carry conceal automatically excludes churches from the permit. A church has to allow permit holders to carry. This shooting in Knoxville is a good example of liberal thinking. Men blocking bullets is heroic. Men dieing to save children is heroic. What is disturbing is that few would see the answer as a hero with a carry conceal permit to pull his gun and take out the shooter permanently. While this congregation and society “ponder what to do” and “what answers can we find”… the answer is obvious. Allow law abiding citizens to defend themselves wherever they are. In doing so they will save many lives.
A side note on this tragic shooting. I doubt that will be the conclusion of this congregation. However, according to Universalism’s teaching they shouldn’t find a problem with taking a life. Everyone in the end will be in heaven according to Wikepedia.
The defining theology of Universalism is universal salvation; Universalists believe that the God of love would not create a person knowing that that person would be destined for eternal damnation. Thus, they concluded that any existing person must be destined for salvation. In other respects Universalists followed orthodox Christian doctrine, simply expanding the number of the saved to include all persons. Some Universalists believe that Hell exists as a temporary abode for those who have died unreconciled to God, but where God continues to work with the souls in Hell and will lead them eventually to the salvation God intends for all persons. Other Universalists, notably Hosea Ballou, denied the existence of Hell entirely.
What is problematic is that many liberal churches believe that the love of life prohibit the taking of life. Where is the love of life when the only lives a person can take are innocent lives. This wicked man comes to only kill and steal life. It is the responsibility of the adults to protect all life but the murderer standing and point a gun at the youth. It’s time for all states to allow permit holders with their weapon in churches.
(CBS/AP) Members of a Knoxville church are in mourning after a gunman opened fire at a youth performance, killing two people and injuring seven others….
Fifty-eight-year-old Jim D. Adkisson is in custody and charged with first-degree murder in the shootings at the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church in Knoxville. He is being held on a millionRight after the play had started, we were sitting there and heard a loud explosion,” Terry Uselton told CBS’ The Early Show. “Couldn’t figure out what was going on; we thought maybe it was something with the lighting or something went wrong. Heard a second explosion. And then I turned around to look and saw a man standing in the doorway with a gun. And so I got up from my seat and started toward him.”
Uselton helped tackle Adkisson to the ground.
He said, being a teacher, he has thought through scenarios of how to protect children in the event of a school shooting. “This is one of those cases,” Uselton said. “That was my thought: ‘Somebody’s got to stop this guy.’”
Another witness told the newspaper that the man killed was a hero.
“Greg McKendry stood in the front of the gunman and took the blast to protect the rest of us,” Barbara Kemper said.
McKendry’s foster son Taylor Bessette watched it happen.
“He stood in front of the bullets between the child and the gunman and actually took the bullets to save the child,” said Bessette.

Ohio 2004 Election Debate Continues
Thursday, July 24, 2008 7:52 PM
By Tom Walker
Washington, D.C. — It was four years ago, but it still gets Democrats and Republicans uptight with each other.
Ohio’s presidential election was on trial again. This time it was at a Congressional committee which finally succeeded in getting former Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell in the witness chair.
There were handshakes between Blackwell and the Congressmen despite the fact that earlier this year democrats had threatened to subpoena Blackwell to answer questions. The questions included ones about long lines, and allegations of voters denied their rights.
Blackwell insisted the ‘04 election was one of the fairest ever held.
“We believed and I continue to believe that there was a good election in Ohio. It was not a perfect election,” said Blackwell.
Far less than perfect, said a law professor from Ohio State University.
“An atmosphere of confusion” is how he described it.
The committee chairman also challenged Blackwell’s upbeat assessment.
“We’re acting like nothing went wrong, much went wrong,” said Rep. John Conyers of Michigan.

Daily Herald | Left has it wrong on 2nd Amendment
July 23, 2008 | Leave a Comment
Well, the title is obvious. Most anti-gun advocates keep wondering what do people need with guns. Protection? Protection from what is all they ask. Perhaps they never have had their homes broken in or a neighbor who has been shot by criminals. They see themselves as heros instead of who they really are… the ones that take guns away from those trying to protect themselves. Yes, Gun Advocates force the gun out of the future victims and cry freedom. Freedom for the criminal to do their dirty deeds without fear. At least this decision was correct.
Left has it wrong on 2nd Amendment
Published: 7/21/2008 12:05 AM
I’ve noticed much wailing and gnashing of teeth on the left side of the fence since the U.S. Supreme Court affirmed the fact that the Second Amendment applies to individual Americans. I’m not surprised to hear these rumblings, as this bunch has never appeared to have the capacity for logical thought and has always relied on emotional caterwauling in their arguments, such as they are.
It has always amazed me when those opposed to private ownership of guns try to say that the Second Amendment applies not to individual Americans, but to the militia and/or the National Guard. They apparently never stopped to consider how many governments around the world found it necessary to have posted in their respective constitutions the “right” for their own armed forces to possess arms.
Next, these anti-gun folks are also quick to point out that assault weapons were never intended to be included in the Second Amendment. This from the same bunch that says the Second Amendment applies to the military, not the individual.
